Privacy Policy – Software Notion MCP Server

1. Who we are

This privacy policy explains how Software Notion handles personal data when you use the Software Notion app in ChatGPT or another AI assistant. The app is served by our MCP server at https://mcp.software-notion.de/mcp, which is also reachable at https://software-notion.de/mcp.

2. What the app does

The app looks up game facts from the data behind the Software Notion companion apps and shows matching Software Notion apps with links to the App Store and Google Play. All tools are read-only. The app has no user accounts and no sign-in.

3. Information we collect

Tool requests

When the assistant decides to use our app, it sends a tool request to our server. A request contains only the values the tool needs:

• the game or topic,
• the search text,
• an optional language code,
• an optional platform such as "ios" or "android",
• a result limit.

The assistant may also attach technical metadata, such as your language setting, an approximate location or an anonymous identifier. We use only the language setting, to answer in your language, and ignore the rest.

We do not receive your name, email address, account details, conversation history or precise location. Do not include personal information in your questions about games or apps; the app does not need it.

Server log files

Requests reach us from the assistant provider's servers, not directly from your device. Our web server records technical access data: the IP address of the calling server, the date and time, the requested path, the status code and the user agent. The contents of tool requests are not written to the log files.

Images in the app card

The app card shown in the assistant loads app icons from Apple (mzstatic.com), Google (googleusercontent.com) and software-notion.de. When your device loads an image, these providers receive the technical data your device sends with it, such as your IP address.

Cookies and tracking

The app sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services.

4. How we use information

We use tool request values only to compute the response to that request. We use log files only to operate the server securely and to detect and fix errors and abuse.

We do not use any of this information for advertising or profiling, we do not combine it with other data, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

5. Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to provide the app's answers and to run the server securely.

6. How long we keep information

• Tool request values are processed in memory and discarded as soon as the response has been sent. We do not store them.
• Server log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

7. Sharing

Our hosting provider, Hetzner Online GmbH, runs our server in Germany and processes data only on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We do not share personal data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.

The AI assistant you use is provided by a separate company, for example OpenAI for ChatGPT. It processes your conversation under its own privacy policy and decides which information it sends to our app.

8. International transfers

Our server and its log files are located in Germany, in the European Union. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU ourselves. Your assistant provider may process your conversation outside the EU, for example in the United States, as described in its own privacy policy.

9. Security

All connections to our server are encrypted with HTTPS. The app is read-only and has no accounts or stored user data, so it holds no user data that could be exposed.

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you,
• have it corrected or deleted,
• restrict its processing,
• receive it in a portable format,
• object to its processing.

To exercise these rights, email info@software-notion.de. Because we do not store tool requests and delete log files after 14 days, we usually hold no personal data about you.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Germany.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or the legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest version. We publish material changes on this page before they take effect.
