- MarkNook 1.3 brings a Settings window, a smarter way to work with files and better accessibility.
- New Settings window: choose fonts and sizes for the editor and preview, line spacing, content width, default layout and more
- MarkNook notices when another app changes your file and asks whether to reload it — and can remember your choice
- Each document reopens at the same window position and size, even when your display setup changes
- Open documents in separate windows or as tabs, and reach the Start Window anytime from the Window menu (⇧⌘1)
- Images next to your documents now appear in the preview, print and export
- Math formulas and diagrams work completely offline, and print and export just like in the preview
- Word export now includes diagrams and images
- Better accessibility: VoiceOver labels throughout, adjustable text size (⌘+ / ⌘−), higher contrast and more line spacing

MarkNook is a fast, native Markdown viewer and editor for the Mac. Open any Markdown file, watch the live preview update while you type, and switch between editor, split view and preview with a click or a keyboard shortcut.
LIVE PREVIEW
The preview follows GitHub-flavored Markdown (GFM): headings, lists, tables, task lists, strikethrough, code blocks, links and images look exactly the way you expect. LaTeX math formulas and Mermaid diagrams render right in the preview. Links open in your browser, and the preview follows the system's light or dark appearance.
A REAL MAC EDITOR
The editor is a true native text view with undo, find and replace, optional spell checking and a crisp monospaced font. Smart quotes and automatic text replacement stay off, so your Markdown remains exactly what you typed.
AI ASSISTANT (APPLE INTELLIGENCE)
Ask the built-in assistant to write, rewrite, improve, summarize, translate or create Markdown for the document you're editing, then insert the result or replace the whole document with a single click. It runs entirely on your Mac with Apple Intelligence — private and offline. (Requires a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence.)
